James is alone, sitting on his bed, contemplating his loneliness, when the bell rings. A smile appears on his face ‘cause he knows who’s on the other side of his door.
DeeJay is the story from the Ghosts Within Us anthology I’ve read the most. This tale is as heartwarming as it is disarmingly sad. It speaks of human nature, the importance of having someone to share your thoughts with and the dangers of getting lost in your own desperation.
Can’t tell much about it without taking the risk of ruining your first read. Yes, first. Because no human endowed with feelings won’t feel the urge to go back to the first words of this story after reading its last.
